The importance of what you eat or drink first thing in the morning can’t be overstated.  That is because you’re breaking a fast from the night before.  Whatever you consume first, will be absorbed more quickly and easily than any other point of the day.

Starting your day with the juice of a half of an organic lemon squeezed into lukewarm, or warm water is a great way to get going.

Your body has worked hard all night long on clearing toxins, so your liver could use a boost. Lemon juice cleans your liver, and stimulates bowel movements so you can clean out the mess from the day before. It also stimulates digestion to get your metabolism going for the rest of the day.

What you eat in the morning also sets the tone for the rest of the day. Even though it’s just a small gesture, it immediately makes you feel healthier, and tells your brain you’re ready for a healthy day. An added bonus is clearer, more radiant skin.
