Eco-Friendly Father’s Day Gifts

Father’s day is next week and if you haven’t found the perfect gift yet, here are a few suggestions that will not only make Dad happy, but our planet as well.

I put them all under the “Green Gifts For Him” tab at my store.

1)  Biodegradable Golf Balls – The first 100% eco-friendly golf ball! The Dixon Earth conforms to USGA standards and plays like the highest quality name brands. It delivers the distance & spin of a high performance golf ball while being 100% recyclable.

2) Vegan Wallet or Duffel Bag – Matt and Nat is an exclusively vegan line with quality men’s and women’s accessories and bags.

3) Skin Care – Zia is a totally vegan line and it’s endorsed by Peta. It uses the natural power of foods, pure essential oils and herbal extracts, blended together to deliver skin benefits without harsh chemicals or added fragrances.

4) Solar Powered Gadget Charger – The Solio Classic Charger will charge IPhones, IPads and much more!

5) Travel Mug -Dad can take these stainless steel mugs to his local coffee joint so he’s not adding to the billions of disposable cups in landfills, or he can use it to bring coffee from home without the risk of leaching from plastic containers.

6) Organic Tee – This organic tee not only looks cool, but it’s super soft and cozy! Made of 50 percent post-consumer recycled polyester (recycles about three plastic bottles) and 50 percent transitional organic cotton.

7) A Contribution In His Honor – One of my favorite gifts for people, especially for those men who have everything, is making a donation to a charity in their name. PETA is close to our hearts, but there are many more that need help as well. Check out my “Take Action” tab under Hot Topics for ideas.

Of course, making your own gift is always the best! A little homemade card, or framed photo is likely top on his list of meaningful gifts.
